Waterproofing Services

I am a Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing, CSSW which is a nationally recognised professional qualification for individuals involved in diagnosing problems with water ingress entering below ground structures.

I can help to guide you through the design philosophy incorporated in the British Standard BS8102 (2022) which is the code of practice which sets out the importance of understanding the risks associated that might compromise the successful use of an underground space.

With both practical and technical knowledge in the three types of waterproofing , A,B and C and the various materials and systems available to me as a designer and you as the installer or house owner. I have been involved in the application and manufacture of the majority of waterproofing systems available for internal and external systems including watertight concrete and regularly held CPD presentations on the subject for RIBA Architects.

BS8102(2022) suggests involving an expert early into the design stage is important as the choice of building materials can have an effect on the choices and efficacy of the chosen waterproofing products. I can help guide you through the process where the chosen building materials are sympathetic to waterproofing to create an effective system to protect your investment.

BS8102:2009

‘The British Standard code of practice for the protection of below ground structures against water from the ground’ states that there are 3 types of waterproofing protection that can be selected:

Barrier Protection

Create an effective barrier with waterproof membranes or coatings to shield against water infiltration.

Structurally Integral Protection

Integrate waterproofing measures structurally, making them an integral part of the building's construction.

Drainage Protection

Implement proper drainage solutions to redirect water away from vulnerable areas, enhancing overall waterproofing performance.
